Barn Managers

Jeremy
:

Jeremy started his love for horses on his fourth birthday
when he received his first horse. After that he grew up on
working cattle ranches across the Western United States.
After graduating high school, Jeremy moved to Wyoming
where he spent his summers in the wilderness working for
outfitters. During the winters Jeremy lived in Phoenix,
AZ apprenticing for a journeyman farrier and riding
broncs. It was his summer working for Grant Golliher, in
Moran, Wyoming that inspired him to increase his
knowledge of horsemanship and to pursue a career
training horses. Over the years he has worked at the
Rockefellers’ private family retreat, handled breeding
programs, trained and shod horses, created budgets for
horse programs, managed properties as well as a multitude
of other responsibilities. Jeremy has focused in the last
several years on showing in the performance horse world.
He has competed successfully in reining, working cow
horse and roping events. Feeling as though he has come
full circle in his horsemanship quest, Jeremy looks forward
to organizing and hosting a wide range of events at Teton
Saddleback Vistas.

Mary:

Mary began riding at age 10. She was an instructor for the
Riverside Hills Pony Club throughout her high schooled
years at Arrowhead Christian Academy in California.
After graduating in 1996, she trained in Tier, Germany,
for six months with dressage instructor Karla Ziemate.
Over the years she has continued to train and show in a
variety of disciplines and with a variety of breeds. She has
trained and shown Friesian horses, managed barn
operations, set up show schedules, given lessons and
oversaw shoeing and veterinary appointments. Wanting to
leave California, Mary moved to Arizona where she began
riding reining horses. She worked for world champion
reining horse trainer, Ben Balow, where she trained out of
a facility very similar to TSV. She worked for him for three
years and had the opportunity to expand her knowledge of
horsemanship. She had great success showing reining
horses as well success in showing her own dressage horse
in her spare time. After getting married 2006 and relocating
to Idaho, Jeremy and Mary have both competed successfully in
events ranging from reining and working cow horse to
dressage and roping.

Trainers

Jesse Lange:

Jessie Lang, a lifelong professional trainer of show jumpers grew up in Northern Virginia. The location provided her an extensive background in hunters and jumpers, equitation, sales and foxhunting, and her riders and horses won numerous State, Zone and National Championships throughout the 1980 s. She relocated to Jackson, Wyoming in December of 1989 and from 1991 to 1996 became a proficient competitor in the region s horse trials through the intermediate level and broadened her knowledge in dressage while training at the Springcreek Equestrian Center in Jackson.

Upon the birth of her son, Alex, Jessie chose to exclusively produce show jumpers once more and from 1995 to 2003 directed the sales and training for Springcreek Equestrian Center s horses and clients, showing hunters and jumpers through Grand Prix. Over her career, Jessie has trained extensively with professionals Rodney Jenkins, Kara Hanly Raposa, Pam Baker and Hillcrest Farm, Richard Lamb and Bob Mcdonald of RiverGrove Farm of Sun Valley, Idaho. She participated in numerous clinics with George Morris, Jim Wofford and Janet Brown.

Currently, Jessie is training at the Teton Saddleback Vistas in Driggs, Idaho. She and her students compete on the west coast circuits and in Colorado, and she continues a long training relationship with Bob Mcdonald and River Grove Farm at the shows and in Sun Valley. She also has juniors and amateurs showing extensively in Florida throughout the winter.

Brian Thomas:

“Condition response methods and training techniques that stress a kinder and gentler approach to horse training”

Complete Horsemanship is a training program designed to build a solid foundation with you and your equine partner. The training techniques that I teach are methods that I have studied and learned becoming a John and Josh Lyons Certified Trainer, in addition I am also a Josh Lyons Accredited Trainer and worked with Josh in 2007 teaching the Certified Trainers program.
Whether you are a novice or advanced rider I have the knowledge, skills and ability to help you have a better working relationship with your horse. I work with individuals and groups to help the rider develop their own personal strengths by breaking training methods down to be more easily understood. Much of horse training is commitment, determination, and the willingness to learn. The end result is effective and positive communication between you and your horse.

If you are interested in individual training or participating in one of my clinics please contact me and let me help you develop the skills you seek and you too can ride with “Confidence and Control”
